Stainless Steel of Type A2 is most frequently used. They are, however, unsuitable for use in non-oxidizing acids and media containing chlorides (like swimming pools, salt water etc.)

Fasteners above 8.8 grade should never be electro-plated due to the high risk of Hydrogen Embrittlement.

Split Lock Washers
Split lock washers DIN127B are useless for property class 8.8 and above. If you are using it there is no benefit to the design.
